Town, County and State COVID-19 Responses

The Phase II plan to reopen North Carolina began at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 22nd, and has since been extended until at least July 17th. At this time, it is mandatory to wear masks when in public and you cannot be six feet or more from other people outside of your immediate household. This rule applies inside and outside.

We encourage you to continue referring to the state, county, and local municipal websites to see if rules vary between different locations. Governor Roy Cooper has reminded residents that if their town has more rigid rules, those supersede the state guidelines. We have a separate post on our website pertaining to the modified Phase II Reopening Guidelines and information from the NCDHHS.
