Town, County and State COVID-19 Responses
Updated December 3, 2020
North Carolina remains in a Phase III Reopening with some modified measures. Groups of no more than ten people can gather together inside, and no more than 25 people together outside. Masks must be worn inside and out when interacting with anyone who does not live in your household, and the state continues to encourage the three W’s – wear a mask, wait six feet apart and wash your hands frequently.
At this time, the Chamber of Commerce is still closed to the general public, unless you have a previously scheduled appointment. Curbside service is available during regular business hours Monday-Thursday, and on Friday mornings. Please call our office at 252-726-6350 or knock on the door during these hours for curbside assistance. You can view contact information for each staff member at the bottom of this message.
All Chamber events remain on hold at this time. Please continue to check our website, social media feeds and membership emails for any updates.
We encourage you to continue referring to the state, county, and local municipal websites to see if rules vary between different locations. Governor Roy Cooper has reminded residents that if their town has more rigid rules, those supersede the state guidelines.
These are links to websites so when information is updated regularly you can refer to the same location. Several towns currently have their buildings closed to the public and are offering online or phone assistance. These websites will give you the latest information on government mandates, and most include a FAQ section:
