COVID-19 Response from the Chamber of Commerce

A Message From Our President

Dear Chamber Members and Friends:

The Carteret County Chamber of Commerce is currently staffed and working for you.  We will do our best to be a relevant source of information in the coming weeks. We will give you the latest and most pertinent information needed by our Chamber businesses, such as what is open and what is closed, among other updates.

Our staff knows that many of our Chamber Member restaurants, shops, and event locations will be challenged by the “social distancing” that the novel coronavirus has imposed upon us. We encourage you to purchase gift certificates now from your fellow Chamber member businesses to use later or to pick up curbside to help offset the economic damage they will face.

While the Chamber is fully staffed, in an abundance of caution, we respectfully ask you to limit any walk-in traffic in our office. The conference room is not available for members to use until  at least April 1. To make payments, we ask that you do so online at www.nccoastchamber.com or call us and we can take payments over the phone at 252-726-6350 during regular business hours.

We are here to answer any questions you may have and will do so electronically and over the phone at 252-726-6350. If you would like to pick up materials from our office, please call our office to request the items in advance, and then again once you are curbside so a staff member can deliver the items to you directly. As things are rapidly unfolding and changing, please share updates on  your business Facebook page. We will share membership information to our Facebook page as well. You can also email Anna Smith at anna@nccoastchamber.com with up to 120 words for use in the Member Notes, your cancellations, hours of operation changes, closings and any curbside or delivery options now being offered by your business for your customers.

We encourage all of our members to share updates to their Facebook business page about operating hours, closures, cancellations, or any other updates we can then share with the public. These posts will then be shared to our Facebook page, and direct links can be emailed to Anna Smith at anna@nccoastchamber.com. It is our goal to help keep our members and families safe, but we are also here to help keep your revenue stream as active as possible by helping to spread the word and making your  customers aware of how they can still do business with you at this time.

Staff can also be reached via email:

The is a unique challenge that the entire world is facing.  Like so many other challenges that our community has faced, we’re certain that we will pull together, help our neighbors, and stay Carteret Strong.
