About Us
Events & Programs
Connect Carteret is back and busy planning 2023 networking events and professional development programming!
We presented two free professional development workshops in partnership with the Carteret Small Business Center in the spring, and are expanding upon that successful partnership this fall. Topics will include negotiation and the psychology of professional communication, raising capital to fund growing businesses and non-profit organizations, and a crash course in using local networks and resources to promote growth without breaking the bank.
Our group took part in the spring Litter Free Land and Sea County-wide Clean-up and is volunteering for the Chamber’s annual fundraiser in August. Keep an eye out for our fall service project announcement!
Young professionals can casually network at our monthly socials, which take place at different restaurants and bars throughout the county on every first Wednesday. We also organize family-friendly social events, like nights out at Marlins baseball games, throughout the year.
In December our group presents the annual Claus Crawl–a bar crawl and costume party in Beaufort–on the third Saturday in December.
Steering Committee
The Connect Carteret Steering Committee meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month at 4 pm at Carteret Community College in Morehead City. The committee is comprised of 7 voting members and non-voting staff support from the chamber. This committee steers the direction of Connect Carteret and assist in event and program planning.
Sponsorships
You can sponsor Connect Carteret’s mission to bring young professionals together and get them involved in our community! Sponsorships help us offset the costs of educational programming, outreach, and will be instrumental in supporting our paid internship program, which is currently in development.
