Chamber Letter: June 29th, 2020
June 29, 2020
Dear Chamber of Commerce members and friends:
It is understandably disappointing that we couldn’t move into Phase 3 of reopening the state and that we’re still in Phase 2 for three more weeks. We have just entered the Fourth of July weekend and if you’ve been on the road at all, you’ve seen that the tourists are here. That, of course, is excellent news.
But now, more than ever, it’s important to try to slow down the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The easiest way to do that is staying socially distant, washing your hands often or use hand sanitizer, and wear a mask, as it is now mandatory. It’s important that our numbers go down so that we can move into Phase 3 later this summer. To keep up to date with coronavirus statistics in the state, please visit https://covid19.ncdhhs.gov/dashboard. To view local information concerning Covid-19, visit http://carteretcountync.gov/.
In this Pulse, you will see that there will be a ribbon cutting at the Crystal Coast Country Club taking place on July 1. We are working with their management to make certain this follows all of the state and local guidelines. The safety of our members, friends, and our staff is of utmost importance.
Our office continues to be closed to the public, unless through a previously scheduled appointment. Masks are required when in our office. At this time, we are not offering in-person ticket sales to our Virtual Reverse Drawing, just online at nccoastchamber.com, or by calling our office. We have limited staff working in the office throughout the work week, and continue to work from home as well. Please call or email us if you would like to schedule a time to meet with a specific staff member.
