Chamber compliments high schools for stellar performance

In recognition of recent academic achievements by Croatan and West Carteret high schools, the Chamber Board of Directors has authorized letters of commendation to the respective principals to share with the entire school communities.

Based on student academic proficiency and by exceeding predicted student academic growth, Croatan and West Carteret are two of only 19 traditional public high schools in the entire State of North Carolina to earn School Performance Results worthy of an “A+” designation.

Additionally, Croatan and West Carteret are two of only six high schools in the state to reach the perfect 100 mark, indicating that each and every student learns far more than is predicted in a class during each semester and over the course of the full academic year.

“We commend everyone involved in the respective school communities,” the Chamber wrote. “You have our utmost admiration.”
